Roadside English is a practice tool that helps drivers rehearse spoken English for the U.S. DOT roadside inspection. It is operated by the team behind CDL Help. This notice explains what we collect, why, and your choices. It is written in plain language and is not legal advice.
We do not ask for, or want, sensitive personal information (such as your SSN, license number, or immigration status) in practice. Please don't type real document numbers.
To run the conversation, your practice content is sent to service providers that act on our behalf:
These providers process your content only to deliver the feature. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your practice content to advertise to you.
We use Google Analytics and Amplitude to understand how the tool is used so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies only after you accept on the cookie banner — if you decline, it runs without those cookies. We also store small preferences (your language, your cookie choice, the random visitor id) in your browser's local storage. You can clear these anytime in your browser settings.
Waitlist emails are kept until early access launches or you ask us to remove yours. Usage data is kept in aggregate for analysis. We keep things only as long as needed for the purposes above.
This tool is for working adult drivers and is not directed to children under 13.
Questions or requests: contact@cdlhelp.com.
We may update this notice as the product develops; the date above shows the latest version.
